While traditional fighting games require the player to use command inputs, Super Smash Bros uses the same one-attack-button, one-control-stick-direction combinations to access all moves for all characters. The controls are greatly simplified in comparison to other fighting games. Additionally, some characters are heavier than others, making it harder for an opponent to knock them off the edge but likewise harder to recover. When a character is knocked off the stage, the player may use jumping moves to attempt to return as some characters' jumps are longer-ranged, they may have an easier time "recovering" than others. In order KO an opponent, the player must send that character flying off the edge of the stage, which is not an enclosed arena but rather an area with open boundaries, usually a set of suspended platforms. As a character's percentage rises, he can be knocked progressively farther by an opponent's attacks. In Super Smash Bros., characters have a damage total, represented by a percentage value, which rises as they take damage and can exceed 100%, maxing out at 999% (999.9% in Ultimate). Instead of winning by depleting an opponent's life bar, Smash Bros players seek to knock opposing characters off the stage.

series is a dramatic departure from many fighting games. 2 Connection to the SNK fighting series.Since he and his series aren't that well known, I'd cast him as a cult.Īnyway, that's five candidates for my Lawl spinoff that may or may not happen. They'd be pretty much like any codec you'd expect, analyzing the opponent, making funny fourth-wall jokes based on said opponent, and all that good stuff. Jonah Jameson has codecs of his own, I figured that he too can have his own secret codec calls. I'm sure you recognize the first ten words from the previous sentence as Otacon's quote from one of Snake's codecs in Brawl, and since Snake's getting his own codec-based moveset in the official Lawl, and that J. He has a whole arsenal of weapons at his disposal, at they would work perfectly for a moveset. He's from a surprisingly underrated YouTube mini-series, and I think he'd be a real epic addition. Now here's a character that you've most likely never heard of. To quote Frollo: "I hope you can forgive me." Anyway, I think Cranston would only fit as a celebrity since he already is one.ĥ.) Slachtung (The All-Sculpt Chronicles) I have not seen Malcolm in the Middle, so no Hal. Thus, his moveset would be based around Walter White and Joe Brody. My favorite things that he's been in were Breaking Bad and Godzilla (which I believe is one of the more unappreciated films of 2014). "I am the one who lawls!" Bryan Cranston is my favorite actor ever. president would fit, but I guess he could be good as a cult.Ĥ.) Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad/Godzilla)

As for his moves, I would include his axe as his melee weapon, that random chariot for his side recovery, and either a train falling from its burning tracks or the northern army firing silver bullets at the enemies. how can that not be cool?! So I saw it as a perfect fit for the roster. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, fighting vampires. While it was kinda lackluster in terms of story and historical accuracy, I thought the action scenes were awesome. I honestly found Vampire Hunter to be sort of a. Since he's from a horror game like Mado, Yomi, Ib, etc., I'd cast him as a cult.ģ.) Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) And if he loses a match, there can be a 1/5 chance that there will be a death minigame like in 5NAF 2 (but on no occasion will it make the game crash and send you to the Wii U menu ). His final smash could be all of the animatronics from 5NAF 2 wandering and attacking the players and ending off with a Golden Freddy instant KO jumpscare. His moveset could be based around his supernatural abilities, the box that he comes out of and the music box that keeps him in.

It's theorized by MatPat that the Puppet is behind everything, which is why I'd choose him as an addition to my roster. The main reason I lik it, though, is the vague lore behind it. I like the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Since he's so well known, I would cast him as a celebrity. Not to mention he could be a good replacement for the ROBs in the Subspace Emissary to make Lawl more original from Brawl. He is, after all, the most advanced humanoid robot by far, and stuff like his soccer ball and ability to walk up and down stairs could be perfect as special moves.

If I ever decide to do a Lawl spinoff in the future, these would be five of the first characters I'd choose (in no particular order):ĭespite seeming simply for the irony of him being the very first victim of Hitler's 'Pencil of Doom', this character has plenty of moveset potential.
